NEW! Introducing Volo™ ‌

Smart Play® Volo™ is a play-packed structure that soars with fun for everyone. Game-changing LSI Flexx™ steel-reinforced cable netting material keeps the inner ring‌ of play fully connected, providing kids of all abilities with a diverse range of play experiences and access to all levels of Volo.

Volo’s outer ring provides more challenging activities in a perpetually flowing loop of climbing and sliding fun. Integrated seek-and-find games, science experiments and strategic route planning stimulate kids’ minds while playing. Whether they prefer fast-paced action or a leisurely pace, heights that thrill or staying close to the ground, Volo empowers kids to define their unique playstyle, offering a multi-layered spectrum of joy. ‌Volo's inner ring of play is all about choosing your own adventure, and there's no shortage of ways to go! We intentionally designed each fun event to flow to the next, creating a perpetual play loop. Fast or slow, high or low, full energy or low key, Volo invites kids to create their own style of play with multiple layers of fun.

What Is LSI Flexx™?

The inner ring is fully connected by LSI Flexx, our own game-changing steel-reinforced cable netting material that offers kids with a range of abilities a ton of play sensations from relaxing to bouncing to climbing. It is made of tightly woven, polyester-wrapped galvanized steel cables that are abrasion-resistant, color-stable, extremely durable and vandal-resistant. LSI Flexx's smooth, low-profile connection nodes are comfortable to crawl across and the cables are an ideal size for kids to grasp while climbing.

What Is Smart Play®?

Smart Play® playstructures pack a lot of activities into compact structures, taking kids from early crawling exploration on up to active climbing and social play to challenging adventures for older children. This line helps span several critical periods of childhood development, making it ideal for childcare, early learning centers, neighborhood playgrounds and schools.

Pre-designed by the experts at Landscape Structures, the play elements included in each Smart Play playstructure have been given thoughtful consideration. Are they developmentally appropriate for each age group? Do they enhance the overall play experience? Only when the answer is yes do we have a truly smart Smart Play design.

Most of these structures have been designed to be compact, requiring less space and surfacing materials than typical playgrounds—yet without sacrificing any of the play value. That results in a lower total investment. With a variety of innovative themes and concepts to choose from, these preconfigured playstructures are easy to order. Simply choose the carefully curated color combinations shown here or select your own. We’ve put lots of thought into the Smart Play designs. All you have to do is enjoy!

We believe all kids are created equal.

All children means everyone. The need for play does not distinguish between children who are typically developing and children with disabilities. Everyone of all abilities needs play. And everyone means not only children with a physical disability requiring an accessible playground, but it also includes developmental disabilities like autism; children with sight or hearing impairment and children with intellectual disabilities such as down syndrome. Everyone also includes siblings, parents, grandparents, friends and other caregivers.

innovation and inclusion

Beyond Accessibility

Accessibility looks at objects and space, while inclusion assesses human lives. Accessibility asks how we can get to a play component, while inclusivity asks how we can engage with any given component. Focusing on engagement rather than compliance alone encourages a thoughtful design process, expanding the inclusive play landscape.
