Gerber Leisure Products

A Brief History

Gerber Leisure Products was founded in the early 70's by Chuck Gerber.  During the fateful year of 1987, young college graduate Bob Szalkowski would join Gerber and eventually become an integral part of the business.  Bob was joined by his lovely wife Ann, and together, they would change the landscape (literally) of playgrounds all over the state of Wisconsin.  They did so well, in fact, that Chuck sold them the whole business, lock stock and Wobble Pod, in 2004.

It was 2009 when they needed some additional support in their office, and that is where Hollie came into the picture. She was instantly infatuated with the business and the idea of helping to create amazing play spaces throughout the state. After 6 years of working in the office, learning the business, getting to know the customers and a short career as a screen printer on the side, Bob & Ann sold the business to Hollie. Today, she has grown the team and proudly continues the Legacy of Play in the state of Wisconsin.
